Join us for our first ever Photo 101 class, taught by Photography Lecturer at UW Oshkosh Department of Art, Tom Leininger. This 6-hour class is designed as a foundational crash-course focused on helping you get off Auto and better understand exposure in a practical, hands-on way.

The day will include dynamic instruction on topics like ISO, aperture, and shutter speed - with short photo walks mixed in to apply what you've learned by shooting, reviewing, and discussing.

This workshop includes:

• Guided instruction and all necessary materials

• Cameras available to borrow for class

• Lunch, coffee, & water

• Discounted print of your favorite photo from class

This hands-on workshop is designed for kids ages 8-12 (accompanied by a parent/guardian) and will focus on the basic fundamentals of the photographic process.

The two hour program includes an instructional presentation along with a fun, exploratory outdoor photo walk in Downtown Appleton learning about composition and photography concepts for the beginner.
Parents and guardians are welcome to participate alongside their child, or feel free to take it easy in our parent lounge area. Experienced volunteers will be on-site to teach and keep your kiddos safe as they learn!
