The Next Frame | Screen & Connect

  • Photo Opp 621 North Bateman Street Appleton, WI, 54911 United States (map)

We’re excited to launch Season 3 of The Next Frame with a special highlight screening and networking night at Photo Opp!

Step into the world behind the lens with Season 3 of The Next Frame — a doc series celebrating the people and stories shaping our creative communities. We’re kicking things off with a highlight screening and in-person meetup to connect the faces behind the frames.

Come get a sneak peek of this season’s stories with a curated selection of standout moments from the upcoming documentary features.

After the screening, stick around for a Q&A session with featured filmmakers, followed by a relaxed networking hangout where you can meet fellow storytellers, collaborators, and creatives from across the community.

Whether you're a filmmaker, artist, supporter, or just curious about who’s doing what behind the lens — this is a great night to connect, ask questions, and get inspired.

The Next Frame is a short documentary series based on the hidden creative talent throughout the Midwest, specifically in the state of Wisconsin.

Derek Pfister and Brendan Adams of Chair on Stair Films travel across the state to showcase creative talent, no matter what their focus is.
Creatives interviewed showcase skills in filmmaking, directing, acting, writing, painting, music, and much more. Learn from them as we ask how they began their creative careers to where they are today.

There is so much hidden talent in the Midwest, and our team is here to showcase them to the world.

Run Time: 38:34:00 | Language: English

Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and settle in. This night is as much about celebrating community as it is about film — and we hope you’ll leave feeling connected, inspired, and ready to collaborate.

Across Wisconsin and the Midwest, there’s a deep well of creative talent—often hidden in plain sight. With The Next Frame, our mission has always been to bring that talent to light and share it with the world. The Midwest is more than capable—it’s creative.
